The Goldmark Cultural Center’s John H. Milde Gallery is proud to present “Reflection of Form”, a solo exhibition of new paintings, drawings, and sculptures by artist Kathryn Kneip.

The exhibition is on display from 10 March 2025 to 4 April 2025, with a reception on Saturday 3/22, from 1pm - 3pm, during the Spring Art Walk at the Goldmark Cultural Center.

About the Exhibition

Making art is an adventure, an exploration of sorts with visual elements to tell the story instead of words. I have been fascinated with the beauty and intricacy of the human form and nature juxtaposed to the confines of an engineered world. At times I get images in my mind which I endeavor to create visually, other times I have a concept or message I want to depict. I believe creativity can be exemplified in many areas: science, technology, architecture, landscape, culinary, etc. We all have some form of creativity in us and use different ways to express it. I am also interested in various media and how their qualities relate to the viewer in different ways.

Recently I have been working with graphite, paint, printmaking and paper. As an artist, I use my work to communicate ideas or feelings in hopes that it touches the viewer in some way. Just as each person is an individual, what is understood by each person may be different and that creates an individual dialogue, thereby making the art piece interactive. I use images from my travels with the figure and natural elements creating images that have a personal reference to make a visual assemblage to reflect a feeling or idea.
