You are invited to participate in the Goldmark Cultural Center Refugee Quilt Project to raise awareness and perspective on the worldwide refugee crisis.
The quilt will consist of 10"x10" squares which will be sewn together in a horizontal row and wrapped around the walls inside Goldmark Cultural Center. We will meet the first Wednesday of each month to work on the quilt blocks. Please bring your own supplies; fabric (or other material), scissors, needles and thread, etc. Blocks can be made as a traditional fabric block, up cycled quilt block or art quilt block (creative work that is layered and stitched-stitches can be real or implied). Each block design should be inspired by the plight of refugees worldwide.
Our meeting place will be at the front table at Goldmark Cultural Center, 13999 Goldmark Cultural Center.
