The featured Goldmark artist for April is David Snider.

As a longtime member of the Creative Arts Center, David will be speaking about the CAC's role as a hub for visual arts education and community in Dallas. Fellow Goldmark artist Marty Ray will provide a brief introduction on the founding and early history of the CAC, while David will speak in more detail on what the CAC is now and where they fit into the Dallas art ecosystem.

The presentation will be held in the auditorium space at 14001 Goldmark Dr, Dallas TX, 75240, and it will conclude with a visit to David's studio space at the Goldmark Cultural Center.

About the artist
David Snider is interested in color and texture. When a snap decision to take a clay class turned into a serendipitous epiphany, David knew that form had to be added to the mix. He takes a lot of photographs. He paints. He squishes clay, adds fire, adds more clay and minerals and then fires it again. David hopes to show you color in unexpected ways and wants his work to encourage you to have a conversation.
