The Goldmark Cultural Center is proud to present "Interplay", a pop-up exhibition of new painting, sculpture, and mixed media works by Goldmark artist Giovanni Gonzalez. The exhibition is on display in the Goldmark Artists' Showcase through May 29, 2022, with an exhibition reception on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 3.00 - 5.00pm.

"I depict ordinary people interacting with one another as well as existing in solitary moments through utilizing both the language of traditional fine art and street art. The work includes abstract and figurative elements. The environments and human figures in the paintings are abstractly painted in a loose yet clean cut out/collage-like approach. The abstract sculptures distort the human figure while featuring sharp edges in color and loose mark making."

About the Artist
Giovanni Gonzalez is currently studying for his MFA at University of Dallas and has maintained a studio at the Goldmark Cultural Center since 2020.
