About the Exhibition

“Enigma” features sketches, portraiture, oil paintings, and acrylic paintings by Goldmark artist Asia Griffin-Crockett.

Feeling low...why am I constantly doing this to myself?
Why do I let people and things eat away at my thoughts?

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m a lover.
I want to share my heart, my experiences, and secrets.

Oversharing, maybe that’s something I need to work on...or maybe I just want relationships where we harbor nothing and share everything.

I need a love where I feel safe, safe to be myself.

Tired of masking who I really am, I’m not here to be liked. I’m not here to only speak positivity, to make OTHERS feel better. And I’m certainly not here to take care of others before myself.

Stop giving away parts of yourself to people who would never go the extra mile for you. Put all your time, patience, & effort into this next phase of life as an artist.

See if this gives you the same results and satisfaction.

You can’t change anyone.

Understand this and make a conscious effort to accept people as they come.

Be kind to yourself; you’re doing your best. Love those that love you. Protect your heart and those you give it to. Make time for yourself. Stop moving on other people's time. Set clear and firm boundaries with others. If you are not being loved the way you’d like, separate and take away access. Give and receive love purely, with positive intentions.

I want something real, not surface level.

If we can’t be open & merge souls then I don’t want it.

Why am I the problem? Maybe I do need to be alone...

I just want to be understood and have all my flaws accepted.
