The Goldmark Cultural Center is proud to present “Sweet Nothings in ‘P’”, a pop-up exhibition featuring new paintings by Goldmark artist Sarah Hoes. “Sweet Nothings in ‘P’” is on display in the Goldmark Artists’ Showcase from 13 March to 2 April 2023, with an exhibition reception on Saturday, 25 March 2023 from 1.00 - 3.00pm. Sarah will be present at the reception to respond to questions or comments about her work.

About the Exhibition

“Sweet Nothings in ‘P’” is a small body of work that freezes a moment in time full of tiny pleasures accessible to many. Haiku’s are used to comically distill the many ideas had during these moments to present a concise expression of thought and invite the viewer to explore their own feelings and ideas when presented with something easily dismissed.  

About the Artist

Sarah Hoes lives and works in Dallas, TX. She graduated in 2005 from the University of Tennessee with a BFA in Printmaking & Painting. Her work is influenced by the work of Judith Eisler, Robert Rauschenberg, and James Rosenquist. She uses oil paint to explore moments in time with ordinary objects and grounds, elevating them through the filters of photography and visual interpretation, mixing realism and moments expression.
