Join us at the Goldmark Cultural Center on Thursday 6/29 or Saturday 7/1 for another Goldmark Artist Talk, this time featuring artist Mindy Williamson. Our monthly artist talks are a great way to get to know some of the 160+ members of the Goldmark artist community and learn from them about their respective areas of expertise.

Instagram and Social Media for Artists

Goldmark artist Mindy Williamson will be presenting a talk about how artists can use Instagram and other social media platforms as a resource for promoting their artwork and advancing their art career.

Who remembers a time before social media? It’s very hard to imagine. Luckily it is one of the best free tools for artists to get their work out to the world. While I’m no guru or professional regarding social media, I have spent a lot of time learning how it can be used as a tool.

In the first of two classes, we are going to dig into the benefit of this amazing, free tool. We will cover Instagram in detail and briefly cover Facebook and how you can sync them up.

We will also specifically talk about how to identify and avoid dangerous scams on Instagram.
