This is a private community meeting for the Goldmark artists - not open to the public!
We will have the planning session for the Holiday Art Market on Saturday, 9/21, at 3pm in the Auditorium in Building 14001 (that's the big event space located on the ground floor between the Norman Brown Gallery and the back lobby).
During this meeting, we will form a committee of volunteer artists to organize the upcoming Holiday Art Walk (Saturday 11/23 - Sunday 11/24, from 12-5pm both days), and take on tasks like advertising/promotion, poster/flyer design and distribution, event volunteers, art demos/activities, art auction, stamp passport activity, and other preparation.
The committee-based system for organizing the Art Walks enables Goldmark artists to shape the Art Walk format to match their needs. Attending the meeting and joining the committee is an ideal way for Goldmark artists to decide the direction and organization of the upcoming Art Walk.
We will also be making a group decision on the date of next year's Spring Art Walk.
Everyone who saw room for improvement in previous Art Walks should view the planning meeting as an opportunity to take charge of those improvements for the upcoming Art Walk. So if you have ideas, feedback, suggestions, or simply a desire to help make the upcoming Art Walk the best event that it can be, we encourage you to attend this meeting.
As always, if you are unable to attend the Planning Meeting, we encourage you to share your feedback, ideas and input with us by email beforehand so that we can advocate on your behalf during the meeting. After the meeting, we will send out a detailed summary of the main decisions and the list of the Art Walk committee members.
Goldmark artists should check the email announcement about this meeting for more details and info.
