Sanjay Jeergall was born in India and brought up in an artistic family. He holds bachelors in Engineering and currently lives and works in the field of Information Technology Dallas Metropolitan Area, USA. He also has his artist studio in Goldmark Cultural Center, Dallas, TX where he creates his artworks.

Sanjay being from an artistic family learned to paint and sculpt quickly. By age 15, he started participating in juried competitions and won many prizes, including silver medal and a state level first prize for painting. In search for new dimensions, he studied western style of contemporary art and various schools of art from renaissance to post modernism. He moved to Ahmadabad in 1987 where he got an opportunity to work with emerging and well known contemporary artists of India. Also some international artists from Germany, Paris and London. He soon organized his first solo exhibition of paintings at a Contemporary Art Gallery, Ahmadabad in 1989. The focus was on the role of a woman in India as mother and her struggle for emancipation.

Upon coming to the United States in 1996, Sanjay worked in his studio in New York City area till he moved to Virginia in 2000 and then to Dallas in 2022. He participated in many group shows and some solo shows in USA.
