UPDATE: The Art Stampede event has been CANCELED due to the worsening public health situation. However, the two exhibition receptions will still be proceeding as scheduled (2-5pm, 3/22/20).
Join us on Sunday, March 22nd, from 12 to 5pm at the Goldmark Cultural Center for our Spring Art Stampede!
At this open studios event, the Goldmark artists will be on hand to introduce themselves and their artwork to visitors. With nearly 70 different artists working across a wide range of disciplines, there is sure to be something for everyone at the Spring Art Stampede, whether you are interested in supporting local artists, keeping up with the latest in the North Texas art scene, or simply enjoying an afternoon surrounded by great art and artists.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by each studio space at the Goldmark Cultural Center to tour the working spaces of the various Goldmark artists, who will apply their unique and individualized stamps to each visitor’s handout sheet. These completed stamp sheets may be redeemed at any time during the day for a small prize.
Many of the Goldmark artists will also be conducting art demos throughout the day, so on arriving, be sure to check the demo schedule for more detailed information on planned activities and performances.
All day long, visitors are also welcome to tour the Goldmark Cultural Center’s John H. Milde Gallery and Norman Brown Gallery, whose featured exhibitions will be having their receptions during the afternoon. Locally Sourced, an exhibition featuring the works of four local artists reflecting on life in the Dallas area, will be on display at the John H. Milde Gallery, with an opportunity to meet the artists at 3pm. Siete, an exhibition of steamroller prints created by seven Texas artists at the Corpus Christi Art Center’s Arts Alive event, will be on display at the Norman Brown Gallery.
Furthermore, visitors can view the Goldmark Artists’ Showcase, which houses a representative sampling of the many varied works produced by the Goldmark artists. Lastly, the John H. Milde Collection will be on display, spotlighting a small selection of works by the late John Milde.
In addition to the nearly 70 Goldmark artists, many of whom will be selling their work, a number of non-Goldmark art vendors will also be present to showcase and sell their work via temporary displays.
