The Goldmark Cultural Center is proud to present Identity, a solo exhibition of transformable fashion design art by visiting international artist Yoon Jin Nam from Seoul, South Korea.

Identity is on display at 14001 Goldmark Dr. 138, Dallas TX 75240, from 1 August 2022 to 20 August 2022. Yoon Jin will present an artist talk about her work on 11 August 2022 at 1.00pm at the Goldmark Cultural Center. She will also be present for an exhibition reception on Saturday, 13 August 2022 from 1.00 - 4.00pm during the Summer Art Walk.

Yoon Jin designed a unique transformable fashion inspired by each alphabet of her name that symbolizes her identity. Each geometric art piece laying flat on the floor can be not only fashion on a human body but also soft sculpture on a canvas and a frame. She combined units of the name to show new forms as well. In addition, the video art and QR code present the process of transformable artworks.

About the Artist
Yoon Jin earned her PhD in fashion design from Ewha Womans University in Seoul where she currently lectures at the College of Art & Design. Over the past ten years, she has exhibited her transformable fashion design and fashion sculpture across South Korea, the United States, and Europe. She has received ‘Artist of The Year Award’ from FCA International Fashion Art Biennale, 2014 and Special Prize at KSDS International Fall Invitational Exhibition, 2018.
